Dr. Subhasisa Rath is an active scientific researcher and an enthusiastic academician. He is currently working as a Post-Doctoral Research Fellow in the Thermo Fluids & Interfaces Lab. at the Faculty of Aerospace Engineering, TECHNION – Israel Institute of Technology, Israel. He has been awarded the prestigious “Aly-Kaufman Post-Doctoral Fellowship” by the Israel Research Foundation. Previously, he was an Institute Post-Doctoral Fellow in the Computational Fluid Dynamics Lab. at the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Indian Institute of Technology Bombay, India. He earned a doctoral degree (Ph.D) from the Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur, India. He was awarded the “University Gold Medal” for best academic performance in his Master’s. His research interests include isothermal and non-isothermal transport phenomena of Newtonian and non-Newtonian fluids, forced/mixed/natural convection, bluff body hydrodynamics, pulsatile flow-based fluid mixing enhancement in microfluidics devices, non-Boussinesq study in non-Newtonian natural convection, fluid-structure interactions (FSI)-based flow-induced vibrations and rotations, pore-scale transport in free-flow porous media coupled system, and gas-liquid multiphase phenomena.
